A Press Rex® is a “press-to-exit” switch commonly used in access control and security systems to allow people to easily exit a secured area, such as a building or a room.
The device, typically manufactured by Trojan, is essentially an illuminated push-button that triggers an electric or magnetic door lock to release for safe egress.
