Developed to overcome the problems of old outdated technology in beam detection, this motorised beam now means that beam detection can now be used reliably to produce cost effective solutions for protecting large areas. Building movement and accessibility have in the past, made beam detection unreliable, difficult, time consuming to commission and hard to maintain, but now by using the advanced motorised technology of thefirebeam unreliability is no longer a problem. thefirebeam will self align itself to the centre of the reflector when commissioning and will automatically keep alignment with the reflector when building movement occurs. This intelligent motorisation will mean less false alarms therefore saving time, resources, reputations and ultimately money.

Key Features :-

  • 160-Metre Range: Enhanced optics allow coverage up to 160 metres using extension kits, removing the need for two separate beams over 100 metres.
  • IP65 Enclosure: Sealed against water jets and dust, making it safe for wash-down environments like food processing plants and protecting internal components from pests.
  • Ground-Level Controller: Allows full commissioning, testing, status checks, and threshold adjustments from eye level on the ground.
  • Continuous Auto-Correction: Intelligently tracks and adjusts alignment back to the center if building movement occurs.
  • Easy Clean Design: Flat surfaces allow safe cleaning of the face from ground level without knocking internal enclosed optics out of alignment. 
  • Motorised Beam that self-aligns.
  • If the roof is flat the FireBeam Xtra system can be placed anywhere under the roof between 0.3m and 0.6m below the roof, up to a maximum height of 40m from the Floor (A roof is considered flat unless the height of the apex is greater than 0.6m).
  • The FireBeam Xtra has a detection area of 7.5m either side of the beam.
  • If the roof is considered to have an apex, place the FireBeam Xtra system 0.3m to 0.6m down from the top of the apex, up to a maximum height of 40m from the floor.
  • The maximum protected area either side of the beam can be extended by 1% for every degree of roof pitch (please check with your local regulations).
  • If the site gets condensation and / or Fog a Anti Fog kit should be added.
